Slot Missions in Hogwarts Slot missions are an excellent opportunity to earn equipment, weapons and more. They're difficult to complete. Gear Slot In the beginning of the game, players will notice that their gear slots rapidly become full, resulting in the frequently-repeated “Your Gear Slots are Full” message which prevents Max from picking new equipment until old items are removed or space is obtained. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for fulfilling challenges. However, because the majority of these challenges are scattered throughout the globe and are easily missed, it can take some time to get the most inventory slots that are available in the game. The five Gear Slots of a player can be filled with up to five different types of gear, which must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In begins. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as a grouping of Grenades) can only use one Gear Slot. Agency Pickups As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups that are on the map. These locations allow you to keep items that don't fit in your concealed weapon or gear slot, and get them back later. These pickups are particularly useful when you have to go through a frisk at the end of the course of your mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that could otherwise cause suspicion. You can only hide one item per game at a pickup location for agencies. This DLC includes new contracts for security and asset protection to the agency.
